As the semester draws to a close and finals loom overhead, it’s understandable for many students to feel overwhelmed. Fortunately there are plenty of campus events that can help one take a break, connect with others or discover something new. Whatever students are looking for, here are five upcoming events at Sinclair that are worth checking out.
Use AI to Study Smarter, Not Harder
On April 22 from noon-1 p.m., the Innovation Lab located in Building 4 is hosting a Life Skills Series discussion about AI. Those who attend will discover fun and simple ways AI can make studying more effective, such as creating personalized study guides to help make finals season less stressful. There will also be free pizza.

Sinclair Music Concerts
Music lovers will have several chances to enjoy live performances at the Blair Hall Theatre in Building 2. These include the Jazz Concert on April 24, the Concert Band on April 27, and the Wind Symphony on April 29. All these evening concerts take place from 7-8 p.m. on their respective dates, and they are free and open to the public.
Stamp Out Silence: Passport Walk
From 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on April 28, this interactive campus event will be an engaging way to learn and raise awareness about sexual assault and how to help prevent it. Participants can visit numerous stations across campus to collect stamps at each location and enter for a chance to win a Resiliency Center Prize basket.

Free Movie Streaming & SCSCOH
For those in need of a way to unwind, the Sinclair College Student Clubs and Organizations Hub is offering free movies from April 30-May 9. In addition to the free movies the hub also provides students with easy access to clubs, events and campus activities through eLearn. It’s a convenient way to stay involved and to see what’s going on with Sinclair.
Versiti Blood Drive
For those wanting to make a tangible, positive impact on the community, the downtown Dayton campus blood drive on April 30 is a good option. It will be located in Building 7 at the Library Loggia from noon-4 p.m. and is a great opportunity to ensure blood shortages don’t happen.
The drive accepts those who schedule ahead and those who walk in, and if April 30 doesn’t work there are always other drives that can be looked up on the Versisi website.
