July has been full of many political moves, and changes. This is the recap of the most important things you should know.
On July 16, 2024, the national republican convention was held on major news sites, and channels. The republican convention brought upon us the republican VP candidate nomination. This was picked to be Sen. JD Vance, republican of Ohio.
This was then followed by President Biden withdrawing his bid for reelection on July 20, 2024. He announced on the 20th on X formerly Twitter that he was not going to pursue further, and then made an official announcement the next day. Endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris.
After Biden refused the incumbent role for presidency VP Harris immediately took over for the bid of presidency. Within a week of her announcement of presidency the campaign has been said to have raised 200 million dollars by reuters.
There has yet to be an announcement for the VP for Harris’s candidacy. The Democratic National Convention is being held August 19-22, 2024.
