The Sinclair Theatre has announced its schedule for the 2026-2027 season. Theater productions are often hosted at the Black Box Theatre on the fourth floor of Building 2, room 2-411 or Blair Hall Theatre, which is located on the first floor of Building 2.
As the season shifts to autumn and the pace of fall semester sets in, the Black Box Theater will be showing “Exit the King” Sept. 9-11.
An absurdist drama, this play is centered around King Berenger as he faces his own mortality and questions whether he should hold onto his power. This play takes part during an essential moment in America’s history and the theatre hopes the production will inspire the audience to vote and make sure their voices are represented.
The play will be showing on Sept. 9 and 10 at 1 p.m., and Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
Oct. 19-17, audiences will have a chance to travel back in time to the backdrop of the antebellum south as they are guided through the iconic story, “Little Women.” In this modern take on Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel, four sisters find their own paths as they learn their place in post-Civil War America. Tickets are $10.
Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” is held dear by many and has stayed an essential part of countless family Christmas traditions. Dec. 10-13, Blair Hall Theatre will be showing “A Fairytale Christmas Carol.”
It’s a comedy in which Mother Goose guides the audience through the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, who is played by none other than the Big Bad Wolf. This spunky fairy tale adaptation will help embody the childlike wonder that capsulates that warm Christmas feeling. Tickets are $10.
The musical for 2027 is yet to be announced.
There are no at-the-door ticket sales. All tickets can be purchased at www.sinclair.edu/tickets beginning Aug. 10. The Blair Hall Theatre box office is located on the first floor lobby of Building 2, and the Black Box Theatre’s box office is on the third floor of Building 2.
