Juneteenth is the oldest national celebration of the ending of slavery in the United States, with many continuing to celebrate it to this day, and Sinclair College is no exception.
Sinclair’s celebration of this important commemoration will be at the downtown Dayton campus on June 18, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

The doors will open at 11 a.m. with the main program beginning at 11:30 a.m. The event will feature spoken stories from Sinclair Professor Furaha Henry-Jones as well as memorable music from musician G. Scott Jones. At 12:15 p.m. the free lunch will begin and the vendors will open, and all guests are encouraged to enjoy themselves.

The event is free and open to all family and community members. Attendees are encouraged to register ahead of time to plan for seating and preparing lunch.
The event will take place at the Sinclair Conference Center in the Great Hall. There is free parking in Lot C located beneath Building 12.
