While not as large as the Dayton campus, Sinclair College’s Centerville Campus still has a lot to offer students. For many the location is highly convenient; there is a wide variety of classes that are available, and it has plenty of quiet or comfortable areas for students to study or unwind in between classes. Here are five of the best spaces students are encouraged to make use of.
The Front Patio
Just a short distance from the main entrance, this spot is perfect for students who like to be outside and enjoy the outdoors. With enough seats to accommodate a large number of people, it is an ideal spot to be whether you’re having lunch or working on coursework. The only downside is that it is dependent on the weather cooperating, which it usually does during the fall, but may not during the winter.

The Main Lounge
This space is one of the first things someone will see as they enter the Centerville campus, and it is one of the most popular places for students to hang out. There are plenty of chairs and tables to choose from, so even when it is on the busy side students will be able to find a seat. In addition the nearby kitchen area and vending machines allow students the opportunity to grab a quick snack when they need one in the middle of the day.

The Side Halls
These halls are less frequented compared to the main classroom areas, but offer a pleasant atmosphere to those who find them. The higher ceiling makes the space feel very open, and the pristine view of the outdoors is complimented by diverting paintings along the walls. The number of chairs and tables is smaller than in other areas, and so won’t fit as many people. But for small groups and individuals the halls are perfect.

The Upper Lounge
The kitchen area on the first floor is immediately noticeable, but the one on the second floor is easy to overlook, especially if a student does not have classes on the second floor. But it offers a quieter alternative to the main area on the first floor, and so may be preferred by those seeking a calm environment.

The Classroom Commons
The first floor classrooms are accessible through nicely interconnected hallways, and in the central area there is a hub for students who need a space to chill out before or after a class. With plenty of seats, multiple tables and computer stations, a printer and shredder, as well as several nearby gender neutral bathrooms, this space is an ideal stop for a break in the middle of a busy day.
