Student leaders from Sinclair Ohio Fellows, led by advisor and former Ohio State representative and senator, Tom Roberts, toured the Ohio state capitol in Columbus. The group also toured the Ohio Statehouse and the Thomas J. Moyer Ohio Judicial Center Building during spring break on March 11-12, 2026.

The students heard from recently elected Senator Willis Blackshear Jr., lobbyists, tour guides and more. Afterwards they observed a committee hearing in action, witnessed a demonstration and explored the architecture of the historic buildings.
The second day included community service, working to assist neighbors and stocking the shelves at Columbus-based NSI (Neighborhood Services, Inc.) Food Pantry. After lunch, the students participated in a fun teambuilding exercise at Battle Show Battle Games, a locally owned game show venue.
