Professor Joan Donovan, Ph.D., held a presentation on how memes have been utilized as persuasive tools in social or political campaigns. The presentation was held in the NW Loggia section of the Sinclair library, lasted nearly an hour.
During the lecture Donovan touched topics such as how certain political officials have used memes to further their own propaganda, the dangers and rapid advancement of AI and the push for a technocracy, or a system of government where decision making power is vested into technology and technical experts.
