The 15th Annual Celebration of Purpose: NIA Awards Ceremony will be hosted at Sinclair College on Feb. 13. The Sinclair Office of College & Community Connections invites the community to gather for an evening centered on unity, reflection and excellence.
The awards ceremony is free and open to the public, with a meet-and-greet reception beginning at 5:15 p.m. followed by the awards program at 6 p.m..
Those wishing to attend are encouraged to RSVP in advance, as there are few tickets left. The reception and the award ceremony will take place on the Dayton Campus at the Blair Hall Theatre inside Building 2.

This year’s awards ceremony will honor Professor Jack Bennett, whose contributions to Sinclair college and to the community will be recognized during the evening’s program. The musical director for the event will be Bishop Daniel Cook, who has hosted many other events in the past and will work to shape an atmosphere enhanced by inspiring performances and soul stirring music.
The Celebration of Purpose takes its name from the Swahili word “Nia” meaning “purpose,” and this year it will be celebrating 24 years of Nia on Sinclair’s campus. Students, teachers and all members of the community are invited to take part in this gathering and experience an evening devoted to honoring purpose and all its forms.
