Being a college student means being extremely busy. College students often find themselves so engulfed with assignments that it becomes difficult to relax. As students of Sinclair wrap up the final week and head into winter break, here are some movies to binge watch to have a chill moment. 

“A Christmas Story”

This Christmas classic starring Peter Billingsley will create tears from laughter. Ralphie and his family showcase the perfect amount of family chaos around the holiday season. From dogs stealing a beautifully made turkey to Ralphie shooting his eye out.

Pop a bag of popcorn, sit back and enjoy this 1983 film.

“How the Grinch Stole Christmas (1966)”

Between buying presents and cooking large meals on top of the regular amount of everyday stress, it is for anybody easy to become grumpy.

The Grinch is the perfect example of how people who do not enjoy the holidays may just find their own Christmas spirit. Take time during the Winter break to sit back and watch the Grinch’s heart grow.

“Home Alone”

People become desperate around the holidays. This desperate nature can cause people to steal around the holidays. In this movie two burglars break into the wrong house. Watch and laugh as two thieves fall into plenty of bobby traps set by an 8-year-old defending his house.

“The Star”

This movie may not be as well known as the others on this list, but it is an adorable cartoon flick based on Bo the donkey who was present for the birth of Jesus. The movie centers around Bo as he tries to help Mary on her journey to becoming a mother.

“Four Christmases”

This rom-com will bring plenty of laughter to the holiday season. Watch as this business savvy couple, starring Vince Vaughn and Reece Witherspoon, find comical ways to escape their family traditions. Grab some tissues for the tears that come from laughing so hard.

These movies are the perfect way to discover some holiday bliss. Strap in, cozy up by a fire, queue up these movies and relax this break with some Christmas-themed cheer.
