On Feb. 1, the Dayton Bloody Mary Showdown was held at the Dayton Masonic Center downtown.
General admission provided participants with eight sample tickets and the ability to vote for Best Garnish, Best Tablescape and Best Bloody Mary. Wheat Penny, Lily’s and The Roosevelt Room were among the competitors, offering a range of flavors from smoky to spicy to sour.
El Meson took the gold for Best Garnish and Best Bloody Mary, while The Roosevelt’s Room’s “just married” celebration won them Best Tablescape.
