The popular gas station chain, Buc-ee’s, has filed a lawsuit against Beaver’s Mini Mart in Beavercreek. The lawsuit claims that the logo is too similar to its own (an open-mouthed, smiling beaver wearing a red hat).
The development has sparked backlash against the brand and rallied support for the family-run business.
Harry Singh, whose brother owns the market, said it was established about nine years ago. Buc-ee’s arrived in Ohio in April 2026.

Earlier this year, Buc-ee’s stirred controversy by suing another Ohio business for the same reason.
Mickey Mart was founded in 1982 by an Ohio native, Mick Coles, and has 42 locations across the state. Its logo is a smiling cartoon moose against a red background.
Social media has erupted with criticism of Buc-ee’s and support of local businesses, with some calling the dispute “disgusting, trashy” and “ridiculous.”
One commenter wondered which business would be targeted next. Beaver Vu Bowling, Beaver Beverage Dock and all Beavercreek city schools use the animal in their logos.
A “cash mob” is planned for Aug. 7 to flood Beaver’s Mini Mart with business. The goal is for residents to “stop by at any point” and spend at least $20.
Singh said the family is aware of the event planned for Friday and is “very appreciative” of the community response.
