When students enter the Burnell R. Roberts Triangle Gallery, they will find a space that blends an art gallery with a store, featuring artwork displayed along cloth-covered walls and tables filled with smaller handmade pieces available for purchase.

Sinclair’s Art Club will host its art sale Wednesday, Oct. 28, and Thursday, Oct. 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the fourth floor of Building 13 at the Dayton campus.

Students can browse paintings, drawings, prints, ceramics and jewelry, including beaded bracelets, tiny skulls and handmade vessels.

The artwork is donated by students, giving visitors an opportunity to purchase original pieces while supporting fellow student artists. “It’s honestly just a really great way to support your fellow creative people in your community and at your school,” Bridgette Bogle, one of the Art Club advisors, said.

Proceeds go directly to the club account and help fund club activities, including a 3-day spring trip to Chicago.

Students will have the opportunity to see art from the people they have idolized or seen in their art history books. “The trip is always really fun” Bogle said, including a visit to the Art Institute of Chicago, the Mexican Art Museum and the School of Art, learning how to navigate public transportation and eating dinner in Chinatown.

The Art Club offers a welcoming, low-pressure environment for students interested in making or appreciating art. Meetings take place Wednesdays from 5 to 6 p.m. in Room 13304 and all Sinclair students are welcome.

Whether shopping for a unique gift or supporting student creativity, visitors can help turn individual artistic dreams into opportunities.
