New chairs have been appointed for departments within Sinclair College’s Liberal Arts, Communication and Social Sciences (LCS) division.

Zack Tucker, currently an assistant professor of design and co-chair of the American Institute of Graphic Art (AIGA) Design Educators Community, will become chair of the design department effective July 1.
Tucker holds several degrees including an M.F.A. in graphic design and an M.A. in educational technology, in addition to his years of teaching at other universities before transitioning to Sinclair.
Within his current role, Tucker has enjoyed the accessibility of Sinclair and the chance to connect his students with large-scale, real-world opportunities. This July, that will include the AIGA Educators Conference being held at Sinclair–the first time the conference has been hosted by a community college.
Nadine Cichy currently serves as communication faculty, having been with Sinclair since 2008. She will be stepping into the role of communication department chair on Aug. 17.

Cichy holds a B.A. from Virginia Tech and an M.A. from Purdue University. Having mentored both students and other staff, Cichy is a trusted name at the college.
She has served as co-chair for the Sexuality and Gender Equity (SAGE) Committee and a member of both the Online Teaching and Learning Committee and the Eastern Communication Association. She has also performed community outreach to promote LGBTQ+ inclusion in healthcare.
Both new chairs bring passion and dedication to their roles as they continue to evolve at the college.
