Parking garage under construction throughout summer, pedestrian access limited

Since the end of the spring semester, part of the third level of the Sinclair College parking garage has been closed off for renovations. Parking department manager Andrew Pittenger explained that the current project entails tearing out the concretes old protective membrane, laying down a new one and restriking the surface. This is done to waterproof and protect the concrete.

The area will remain closed off through August. A temporary walkway has been constructed to allow pedestrian crossing access between buildings and to the parking garage elevator. The fourth level of the parking garage has also been reopened to allow more parking during the renovation.
