Even with the summer heat dragging past its welcome, the days have finally begun to cool down. With the browning leaves now lining the paths at Sinclair College, it’s hard not to get excited for the fall season: Halloween, oversized sweaters and an outpour of everything pumpkin spice.
Cozying up on the couch with a pile of blankets and snacks, all that is needed to fulfill a perfect afternoon of indulgence is the perfect show. With that, here is our list of the top 5 shows to binge this fall.

Supernatural
“Supernatural” is a heady thriller following two brothers who hunt and kill supernatural beings. Sam and Dean Winchester’s journey begins when their dad goes missing, sending them across the country to find him.
Leather jackets, demonic engravings and weapons upon weapons, if you’re looking for an action-packed storyline that carries you through its impressive 15 seasons, “Supernatural” is sure to get you hooked.
“Scoobynatural” is the season 13, episode 16 crossover between “Supernatural” and “Scooby-Doo” and it’s a must-watch for fans every Halloween.
“Supernatural” is available to watch on Netflix.

A Series of Unfortunate Events
The Lemony Snickets book series turned show, “A Series of Unfortunate Events” stars Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf. The show has all the charm, wit and awkward displacements that made the books so memorable.
Three orphans, along with the large inheritance their parents left them, struggle against the odds, which seem never to be in their favor.
“A Series of Unfortunate Events” streams on Netflix.

What We Do in the Shadows
“What We Do in the Shadows” is a mockumentary on four vampires living in the modern world. It’s an on-theme comedy for this Halloween. The juxtaposition of the four ancient monsters and their modern lives in Staten Island can be both hilarious and immersive.
The vampires (as well as their companions) work to revive the old cultures of vampires in Staten Island, while struggling to acclimate to the current times.
“What We Do in the Shadows” is a Hulu Original, also available on Disney +.

Over the Garden Wall
Set on Halloween night, “Over the Garden Wall” is an animated adventure set in the Unknown, a strange forest that bends space and time.
With eerie visuals reminiscent of old Disney movies, the art can be beautiful in its color and detail, but also deeply off-putting when it needs to be. The show centers around two brothers trying to find their way through the haunted, ever-changing forest they’ve found themselves trapped in.
“Over the Garden Wall” streams on Hulu.

Gilmore Girls
Finally, this list wouldn’t be complete without including “Gilmore Girls”. A mother and daughter navigating life together in the small town of Stars Hallow, the show is a cozy classic for the fall season.
Whether it’s your first time watching or you’re a seasonal viewer, “Gilmore Girls” has all the drama, romance and aesthetics that work to make it a fall classic.
“Gilmore Girls” is available to watch on Hulu, Disney + and Netflix.
