Members of the campus library were on hand to offer reading recommendations

Sinclair’s Community and Engagement Center capped off one of the hottest week of the year with their flavorful Lūʻau Bash. The event brought a much-needed island vibe to downtown Dayton with free ice cream, photo booths, Hawaiian-themed decoration, DIY sand art, and our beloved faculty.

“It takes a village, really”, said Crystal Ford Bingle, Sinclair’s Student Engagement Coordinator, when asked who she is able to plan all of the events I have been reporting. “Contacting all of these departments, finding interesting ways to engage students, and setting everything up is not ‘every other Tuesday’, it’s more like ‘every other day of the week!’.”

Check out some pictures that The Clarion took at the event:

Our friends from the Peace Place also made an appearance there.
The Tutoring Learning Center was also part of the event, introducing themselves to new students.

Besides free ice cream, pretzels were also being distributed.
Even our beloved mascot decided to stop by and greet our students!
