Welcome back to the Ombuddy Corner!
You have probably heard that goal-setting is important for our personal and our professional lives. But many of us have never learned how to set goals. If you are feeling stuck in trying to meet a goal, try setting one goal using the SMART acronym:
S – specific (Hone in on exactly what you want.)
M – measurable (What tool will you use to gauge progress?)
A – action-oriented (What action steps will you take to complete?)
R – realistic (Set a goal within your reach.)
T – timely (Choose a completion date within your reach. If you set a long-term goal, break it down into short-term steps.)
