NBA Game of the Night — Nov. 13

Each night, the Clarion will choose the top game on the NBA calendar and select a winner. Keep checking out our pick every day, and let us know what you think in our comment section below.

Los Angeles Lakers (7-1) at Denver (6-3), 10:30 p.m.

It’s safe to say the Los Angeles Lakers are cruising through the early part of the season. Currently on a six-game winning streak, the Lakers look to down the Denver Nuggets tonight when they travel to the Pepsi Center. The Lakers eliminated the Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals in six games last year.

Guard Kobe Bryant is averaging 33 points per game and center Andrew Bynum looks dominant. With those two in full swing, the Lakers are going to tough to stop. I expect Denver to give it a good shot, though.

What the Nuggets lack in height, they make up for in athleticism and heart. Forward Carmelo Anthony is a scoring maching and guard Chauncey Billups is as consistent as they come. I’m not predicting a Denver win by any means, but I think it will come down to the last shot.
