NBA Game of the Night — Nov. 7

Each night, the Clarion will choose the top game on the NBA calendar and select a winner. Keep checking out our pick every day, and let us know what you think in our comment section below.

Toronto (3-2) at Dallas (3-2), 8:30 p.m.

Both the Toronto Raptors and the Dallas Mavericks have very potent offenses. But the Mavs are making a transition in becoming a more defensive squad.

Dallas is allowing 93 points per game through its opening five games, which is a shocking stat considering the Mavericks are well-known for their offense. Led by forward Dirk Nowitzki and guard Jason Kidd, the Mavericks are going to have to find a way to slow the Raptors offensive firepower.

Toronto’s front court consists of center Andrea Bargnani and forward Chris Bosh and the two are averaging a combined 49.4 points and 19 rebounds a game. Forward Hedo Turkoglu also poses as a threat with his dangerous shooting ability.

The Raptors have lost to Dallas in 10 of their previous 11 meetings. If the Mavericks can make Toronto play at a more monotonous pace, I like Dallas’ chances.

Dallas 101, Toronto 99
