Beware of Malicious E-mails

There have been reports of some dangerous spam E-mails turning up in Sinclair Community College student’s mailboxes.

The messages arrive with subject lines such as “Webmail Upgrade,” E-mail Account” or “Maintenance Notice.” They ask for the recipient to respond with user name and password. Students should never reply to any E-mail requesting account information.

If you have received a message such as this, delete it from your inbox and deleted folder. If you have replied to a message such as this, immediately change all your account passwords and monitor your accounts for unusual activities.
