NFL Recap – Weeks 11 & 12

Every week in the NFL season, there always seems to be at least five solid games.

Week 11 had some close games and one game where a player practically won the game for the whole team.

The Packers versus the Vikings was a back-and-forth game, scoring touchdown after touchdown. In the end, the Vikings won on a game-winning field goal, making the score 34-31.

The next close game was on Sunday Night Football. It was between the Chargers and the Steelers. Throughout the first three quarters of the game, it looked as if the Chargers were going to win, but in the fourth quarter the Steelers gained 27 points. The Chargers scored 14 more points in the fourth which was enough to win the game. The end score was 41-37.

The game between the Colts and the Bills was one for the books. Jonathan Taylor, the running back for the Colts, scored 4 rushing touchdowns, one receiving touchdown and had over 200 yards from scrimmage. With Taylor scoring 5 total touchdowns, the Colts won the game 41-15.

Dont’e Stevenson said: “This year, some players are playing out of their mind, like Jonathan Taylor, along with others like Aaron Rodgers, Justin Herbert, Lamar Jackson and many others.”

Week 12 brought the fans three games on Thanksgiving and some other enjoyable games.

The games on Thanksgiving included the Bears versus the Lions. This game came down to a last second field goal by the Bears, ending the game with a score of 16-14.

The next game was the Raiders versus the Cowboys. This game ended in overtime also by a game winning field goal. The Raiders were the team to pull off the win by a score of 36-33.

The final Thanksgiving game was between the Bills and the Saints. This game was not close, unlike the other two games. The Bills won this game 31-6.

In week 12, the Bengals beat the Steelers 41-10, which is always a big game between these two division teams, who have a rivalry that can get heated sometimes.

The Rams and the Packers also faced off in week 12. The Packers won the game 36-28 but in the fourth quarter the Rams made a push to win the game. They held the Packers to zero points and scored 11 points.

Stevenson said: “This season of football is crazy because one week your favorite team is winning their division, and then the next week they are fighting for a spot in the wildcard.”

With these two weeks done, the season only has 6 more weeks until the playoffs.
