Cadbury, the producer of the popular Cadbury Crème Eggs around Easter, announced Betty the Frog as the winner of its bunny contest on March 23.
Only a year old, Betty is an Australian White Tree Frog from Orlando, FL. Cadbury USA states that she enjoys “sleeping, late-night snacking, taking a dip in her water bowl and spending time with friends.”
Betty lives with her owner, Kaitlyn Vidal. She is the leader of her three fellow frogs that she also resides with.

“She is a very funny frog! Out of all our frogs (we have four now), she is the one in charge,” said Vidal to FOX 35 News.
As a reward for winning the contest, Betty will be featured in the 2021 Cadbury commercial and also receive $5,000. Cadbury will make a $15,000 donation to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Betty has also made Cadbury Bunny history with her win. She is the first female and amphibian winner as well as the smallest. Betty ran against more than 12,000 competitors in the contest. Other semi-finalists included Logan the dog, Sheldon the miniature donkey and Pepa the cat.
In the past, the Cadbury Bunny contest has had winners from dogs to rodents to a llama. The 2020 winner was an Ohio dog with only two legs, Lieutenant Dan.
