The NCAA Women’s Division I Basketball tournament continues to reach new heights in this year driven by breakout performances, star players, viral highlights and diligent team play.

One of the biggest viral moments that has come is when Duke’s fiery guard, Ashlon Jackson, hit a buzzer beater to defeat the LSU Tigers 87-85. The shot quickly spread like wildfire across social media platforms and became one of the defining plays of the tournament.

Another individual performance that has stood out is Texas star player, Madison Booker putting on the most dominant showing of the tournament. Booker scored 40 points in a blowout win, which is one of the highest-scoring performances across both men’s and women’s brackets.

Emerging stars have displayed extraordinary talent this season. UConn’s Azzi Fudd has played a key role in her team’s success, while UCLA’s Lauren Betts has continued to dominate on the court. Notre Dame’s Hannah Hidalgo has impressed fans with her defensive intensity and playmaking ability, helping lead her team deep into this year’s tournament.

Back-to-back top programs have remained to dominate this year’s March Madness. UConn, South Carolina and UCLA have all showcased depth and discipline, consistently outperforming opponents and positioning themselves as favorites to take home the winning title.

At the same time, lower-seeded teams have made noise. No. 10 seed Virginia appeared as a fairytale story, defeating Iowa in a double-overtime thriller to reach the Sweet 16. Minnesota also delivers a clutch game winner to advance, adding another viral moment to the tournament.
