During the Summer, Dayton Dragons baseball games are some of the best forms of entertainment for a cheap price.

Parents during the Summer try to get the kids out of the house while they are out of school without spending a ton of money. Dragons games are excellent forms of entertainment and fun for the whole family.

Dragons games are not just an ordinary nine inning baseball game. In between innings, the Green Team come out to entertain the crowd with games.

The Green Team is their entertainment group that dance, blast t-shirt cannons, host contests, play games and have their mascots, Heater and Gem, perform skits. The Green Team is the backbone of the team because they are the ones you see when you enter and leave the stadium.

The Dayton Dragons play their games at Fifth Third Field in downtown Dayton. There is a variety of ways to attend their games without just driving.

The Greater Dayton RTA have busses that have stops right outside the stadium. The stadium is also just a 15 minute walk from the Wright Stop Plaza bus station.

Fifth Third Field in right field have lawn seats where you could bring blankets or rent lawn chairs without legs for $1. Also, it allows kids to run around and enjoy themselves while the game is going on.

Lawn seats during the Summer are $8. Growing up, the lawn seats were some of the best seats because I was able to run around with my brother and other kids at the games.

The entertainment of the game is fun and all, but you get hungry with the smells of the food all over the stadium. There are concessions located all over the stadium, with a variety of foods.

Fifth Third Field concessions have whatever your appetite is craving. Whether it be BBQ, pizza, nachos, popcorn, hot dogs, bratwursts, philly cheesesteaks and so much more. They also serve Cold Stone ice cream and Dippin’ Dots to cool you down on a hot summer day.

Games on Sunday’s are always day games. For those interested, kids are allowed to go onto the field and run the bases.

If you are a baseball fan like myself, it’s fun to watch the future of the Cincinnati Reds, being that the Dayton Dragons is an affiliate of the Reds. However, watching and seeing the entertainment of the Green Team always leaves me entertained no matter if it is a Dragons win or loss.

Since their inception in 2000, fans continuously go to games and bring their families for a three hour extravaganza.

In 2011, the Dayton Dragons set a record with 815 consecutive sellouts. Those 815 consecutive sellouts became the longest by a professional sports team in history. In May 2014, the streak reached 1,000 games.

The Dayton Dragons bring entertainment to the Dayton area. No seat is a bad seat at Fifth Third Field and for the price, it is totally worth it.
