On Tuesday, April 24 outside of building 8 from 11-1 p.m. the Sinclair Student and Community Engagement office will be holding its annual Spring Fling event.

The Spring Fling has been held on campus for several years. The event is meant to celebrate the end of the academic school year as students prepare for finals and graduation.

There will be many activities going on for students to participate in. Campus and Community resource tables will offer networking opportunities for students. Student clubs and organizations will be sponsoring activities at the event.

The STEM career community will be holding a Community Car Crash for all to participate in. The Library and Financial Aid office will be hosting the “Game of Life” with Cash Cube. There will be an outdoor movie, as well as live stage performances including speeches and the first ever Lip Sync Challenge. The Clarion will be represented with an information table and a fake news quiz.

There will also be free food and refreshments provided.

This event also offers students information on how to prepare for finals as well as provide financial literacy information. It encourages students to utilize the resources available to them on campus such as tutoring and study labs and offers connections to those resources.

It also promotes involvement in campus life through encouraging students to join many of the student clubs Sinclair has to offer.

“2017 Spring Fling was memorable for me,” Kates Brommeland, Coordinator of Student and Community Engagement said. “The building 8 plaza was full of excitement, energy, and was one of the best days of spring. It was amazing to see so many students, faculty, and staff join us for the event. I look forward to seeing everyone again this year!”

The ultimate goal of this event is to have fun, and offer students a time to relax and let loose before their final week of the year.
