The Sinclair Community College men’s basketball team could not find their stroke against Lakeland on Friday, March 6 in the first round of the NJCAA-II Division XII Region 7 tournament in Dayton, as the Pride fell 81-72.

Marc Anderson scored 23 points and pulled down nine rebounds in his final game for the Pride.

Anderson hit 14-of-16 from the line, but struggled to find his shot otherwise, hitting only 4-of-21 from the field. Sinclair as a team shot 33 percent.

Lakeland was paced by Nate Barnes 29 points, six rebounds and five assists. Louis Hinson also added 15 for the Lakers.

The Pride made a late push to pull within seven with just over a minute to play, but could not get any closer. Lakeland converted just 53 percent from the line to allow Sinclair to stay close, but the Pride could not take advantage.

Dominic Willis scored 14 for Sinclair, including hitting 4-of-5 three point attempts.
