Asher Roth has seemingly come out of nowhere with his single “I Love College.” I recently saw a video where Roth was performing at MTV’s Spring Break and I realized that Roth may go the distance. I’ve been a fan of Roth’s since late 2008. I found out about Roth through, perhaps, my favorite blog, nahright.com. They posted a video of Roth’s version of Jay-Z’s song, “Roc Boys” and I’ve been a fan ever since.

He also has a Web site called, “thedailykush.com” where he has his mix tape available for download called, “The Greenhouse Effect.” A video of a song off of his debut album, “Asleep in the Bread Aisle” has recently surfaced on the blogosphere called “Lark On My Go-Kart.” His album is scheduled for release on April 20.

In my first edition of “Adventures in my iPod” I talked about another one of my favorite new artists Wale. He recently debuted his single “Chillin” featuring Lady Gaga that contains a sample of Steam’s 60’s classic “Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye.” Wale will also be releasing another mix tape titled “Back to the Feature” on April 29, which will available at his Web site elitaste.com.
