Staying healthy during the winter months can be challenging, for tips on how to lead a healthier lifestyle for the new year, the Clarion talked to students to see what pointers they had for fellow students.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou should wear protective hats and extra layers when it\u2019s cold so you don\u2019t get sick,\u201d Jesse Arthur, Early Childhood Education major said.<\/p>\n
Exercise is also important during the winter, according to Exercise Science major Arthur Miller.<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, it is okay to exercise in the cold, you have to stay fit and healthy no matter what,\u201d he said. \u201cIn order to be successful, you have to have a strong social network \u2014 and I don\u2019t mean Facebook. It\u2019s important to talk to people and interact even when its cold out.\u201d<\/p>\n
Miller said that it is important to be around positive people who will help you when you are struggling.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith a positive group of people around you, it is easier to achieve your goals,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Computer Engineering major Dylan Grippon, however, said that in order to stay healthy, it is all about self-discipline.<\/p>\n
