C. Gan said. \u201cI can only hope for, depends on how they\u2019re going to play.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gan said last year, the team made it to quarterfinals, when the team setter sprained her wrist, resulting in the team being unable to play.<\/p>\n<p>Returning players include Jessica Thobe, who is an All-American player and, according to Gan, is ranked the seventh best player in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Gan said she is \u201ca very good player.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn volleyball, your strengths are supposed to be offense and defense,\u201d he said. \u201cI think this year, they will play both good offense and defense.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said the team\u2019s strengths include more than strong offense and defense.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think the strengths this year, besides skill, is that the kids get along well,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Gan said he has played volleyball his whole life, but is unable to play now due to his knees.<\/p>\n<p>However, earlier in his volleyball career, Gan was able to play at a high level.<\/p>\n<p>Listed below is the team\u2019s schedule of remaining games for the season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Sinclair Community College volleyball team has started a new season with a mix of new and returning players. \u201cMy goal and objective is that hopefully they will win the conference and that also they\u2019ll win the regional so they\u2019ll be qualified to win nationals,\u201d Volleyball Coach K.
