  1. Come prepared. Often students come to class without the necessary textbooks and materials, but teachers have been known to start class the first day of the quarter.<\/li>\n
  2. Eat. Breakfast is such a vital part of the first day, if you\u2019re hungry you won\u2019t focus and could miss out on key aspects of the course and assignments.<\/li>\n
  3. Never go without a book. Time in-between classes are a opportune time to study for another class. Never go without a book because you never know when a chance will arise.<\/li>\n
  4. Ask questions. Students, staff and faculty are more than willing to help you if you are lost or confused. Don\u2019t be shy because all it takes is someone to point you in the right direction.<\/li>\n
  5. Don\u2019t overspend. Financial aid sometimes allow students to transfer the balance to their tartan cards, but we advise students not to spend their money on food in one week.<\/li>\n
  6. Buy used books. Used books can be one of the best ways to save money. Most courses have plenty of used textbooks available at the Bookstore.<\/li>\n
  7. Arrive early.\u00a0 Parking is such a hectic part of the college experience, we advise students to arrive early to avoid the parking chaos that happens every year.<\/li>\n
  8. Value your time and use breaks to your advantage. That hour long break between classes can be just the right amount of time to keep up with that pesky math homework.<\/li>\n
  9. Utilize PowerPoints. Instructors are known for uploading PowerPoints to the Angel site, it is vital that students read them and take the time to utilize the information.<\/li>\n
  10. Enjoy your classes. Take the opportunity to meet new classmates and form a study group. Groups are known to make studying more enjoyable. Plus it\u2019s always good to have backup if you have to miss class.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
