On Wednesday, Feb. 9, the Student Leadership Association (SLA) will host their annual Valentine\u2019s Day event called \u201cThe Dating Game.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Dating Game is a game in which one contestant will be seated on one side of a curtain, and would ask questions to three contestants sitting on the other side of the curtain,\u201d Sherita Jackson, SLA assistant, said. \u201cThe questions are designed to help the main contestant pick which of the three he or she would like to go on a date with.\u201d<\/p>\n
While the contestants in The Dating Game are confidential, Jackson said, \u201cYou have to come to the event to find out who the participating contestants are.\u201d<\/p>\n
During the event, a variety of clubs will have tables and students will be able to meet the clubs, and also see what kind of clubs Sinclair has to offer, Jackson said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is important that the clubs are at this event to show other students the types of organizations that Sinclair has to offer, to students who are looking to get involved.\u201d<\/p>\n
The event will take place in the stage area of Building 8 between 11a.m. and 3p.m.<\/p>\n
Everyone is welcome to come, Jackson said and SLA will be selling goodie bags, teddy bears, candy and flowers.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis event is to show that SLA can be fun and entertaining and it can possibly be a much needed break for many students,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
During the event, Marriage Works will be there to offer relationship advice in a booth, Jackson said.<\/p>\n
According to their website, Marriage Works\u2019 goal is for couples to learn how to strengthen and improve their relationships by using relationship skills, so that their relationships are the best they can be.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvents like these keep our students engaged in learning outside of the classroom, and that is important to the overall growth of a student regardless of age,\u201d Jackson said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
