The 2026 Fine Art Student Juried Exhibition<\/a> at Sinclair College highlights student creativity while giving artists a chance to share and even sell their work. The exhibition, held in building 13 on the fourth floor, features a wide range of pieces including paintings, photography and sculptures.

According to gallery coordinator Amanda Darrah, the show is open to any student who has taken a fine art studio class.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAny student who has taken fine art studio classes at Sinclair is eligible to apply,\u201d she said. This year, the exhibition received around 227 submissions, but only 75 pieces were selected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each year, a professional juror reviews the artwork and decides what will be included.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe juror\u2026 looked at all of the artwork and then decided which pieces would make a strong cohesive exhibition,\u201d Darrah said. This year\u2019s juror was Britney Wainwright from Ohio State University<\/a>.

In addition to showcasing artwork, the exhibition gives students real-world experience. Many pieces are available for sale, with all profits going directly to the artists.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSinclair doesn\u2019t take a cut\u2026 the students are in charge of it,\u201d Darrah said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The college also purchases selected works through its Student Purchase Award program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe were able to purchase four pieces\u2026 and then that artwork comes into our collection,\u201d she added.

Walking through the gallery, visitors can see everything from detailed sculptures to expressive drawings. Overall, the exhibition not only displays student talent but also helps artists gain recognition and experience in the art world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition is open until April 14<\/a> from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m.-noon on Saturdays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
