As many Ohioans have noticed, it has been extremely cold outside<\/a>. But while we can go inside our warm buildings and homes, birds are not so lucky, and often struggle to find enough food and nutrients during harsh seasons. This is one of the main reasons why many birds fly south for the winter, but not all of them do. Some people have noticed their plight<\/a> and are trying to help, and so is Sinclair College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

February is, among other things, National Bird-Feeding Month<\/a>, and Sinclair has several Feed the Birds events on the docket.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Mason campus, located at 5386 Courseview Drive, will be holding the event<\/a> on Feb. 3 from 9-10:30 a.m. The Centerville event will be held the same day<\/a> at 5800 Clyo Road from noon to 1:30 p.m. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dayton campus event<\/a> will be on Feb. 5 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People are invited to stop by the main cafe where they can make their own bag of bird seed, which they can then take outside and feed the birds with. Participants are encouraged to take pictures of the activity, and to use the hashtag #SinclairFeedtheBirds if they post online. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stickers will also be available as souvenirs at each event. Those who attend should make sure to be bundled up, as it will likely still be very cold throughout the week, and so proper precautions should be taken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
