Anyone with a laptop knows that the most important resource to have is an outlet plug.\u00a0 Go to any Panera or Starbucks and you\u2019ll see that the seats next to the outlets are taken first.\u00a0 So where can you plug in if you want to use your laptop at school?\u00a0 Here are the top three locations I\u2019ve found.<\/p>\n

\"Campus3. Computer labs<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every computer at Sinclair Community College has to plug in somewhere, and the power strips in computer labs usually have unused plugs.\u00a0 However, you have to sign in to use a computer, and if you\u2019ve already got a computer, you\u2019d only need to use a laptop for software and files.\u00a0 The downside is that Wi-Fi signals might not be very strong.\u00a0 Still, if you need a quick charge while getting your work done, this might be the way to go.<\/p>\n

\"Sinclair2. Building 13<\/strong><\/p>\n

Plugs are sparse in the buildings surrounding the library, but there are plugs on nearly every floor of Building 13.\u00a0 There are chairs and tables near most of the plugs in the common areas.\u00a0 There are even plugs in the hallways, though I don\u2019t recommend using them due to heavy foot traffic.\u00a0 On any given day students can be found plugging in to study, listen to music, complete assignments or even play online games.\u00a0 If you\u2019re going to plug in at Building 13, get there early.\u00a0 Many people plug in for a few hours.<\/p>\n

\"Sinclair1. Tartan Main Street Caf\u00e9<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are at least twelve plugs, a long counter and half a dozen chairs along a wall in the caf\u00e9 in Building 10.\u00a0 On top of abundant plugs, there is also a strong Wi-Fi signal and an opportunity to get a drink, snack or meal if you get hungry.\u00a0 Plugs are abundant, but chairs are not.\u00a0\u00a0 If you do get a chair, you can keep it until 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and until 2 p.m. on Fridays.\u00a0 This is my favorite place to plug in at school.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
