Carlos Jillson, President of Sinclair\u2019s Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), certainly thinks so. In fact, he\u2019s dedicated his time to preaching the good word about the future of aviation technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The history of UAS Clubs at Sinclair goes back several years. The college\u2019s latest rendition was created back in Spring 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sinclair offers a bachelor degree and associate degree in UAS, as well as several one-year and short-term technical certificates. All are welcome as long as they are in a good standing and have taken more than six credits throughout the terms in which they wish to participate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe club is focused on helping its members form study groups and have a place to ask questions of their peers,\u201d said Jillson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Sep. 6, UAS club members will demonstrate their piloting skills on a drone obstacle course in Building 8. Viewers will have a chance to see what these students have learned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey will show off the operations skills they have developed as part of their time at Sinclair planning flights and building flight experience. This is planned to be the first of several events the club wants to organize this year\u201d said Jillson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since UAS is part of a dynamic and rapidly growing industry, the club is there to help students to keep up with industry developments during and after their time at Sinclair.
