This article will go over the information that you should know about what happened.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Saturday, July 13, there was a recorded <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/trump-assassination-attempt-investigation-continues-new-details\/story?id=112020474\">assassination attempt<\/a> on former president Trump in Butler, PA. According to The commonwealth of Pennsylvania the attempt injured the former president, and killed one rally participant and injured two others. The rally participant that was killed was\u00a050-year-old volunteer firefighter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/trump-rally-shooting-victim-what-we-know-about-corey-comperatore-rcna161781\">Corey Comperatore<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/O696aD_ssIk?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the New York Times the gunman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/trump-rally-gunman-identified\/\">Thomas Matthew Crooks<\/a> was killed by the secret service after the shots were let out. He was found on a neighboring roof to the venue where the former president was holding his rally. Crooks was a registered republican, and there has yet to be a clear motive for his actions.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is currently an ongoing investigation into the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/investigations\/2024\/07\/17\/thomas-matthew-crooks-trump-assassination-plot-execution\/74438320007\/\">motives<\/a> of the gunman. As well as one on the head of the secret service that was allotted to the former president. Reuters reports that here have been many recounts of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/07\/17\/politics\/thomas-matthew-crooks-trump-shooter\/index.html\">improper actions<\/a> being done around the time of the assassination attempt from the secret service which put them under severe scrutiny.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Va1VIXoSa_8?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>All sides of our political realm are together in seeking the truth, and it is a sad day that anyone died.
