This month has been absolutely stacked with plenty of goodies to keep us busy and more on the way. Whether you\u2019re keeping an eye out for the next best thing to stream, read or play, we\u2019ve got you covered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Books<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    April has brought with it a novel by the consistently wonderful Julia Alvarez. \u201cThe Cemetery of Untold Stories\u201d has everything fans of the Dominican-born author have come to appreciate. She\u2019s joined by other lit-fic greats like Amor Towels (\u201cTable for Two\u201d), Nick Medina (\u201cIndian Burial Ground\u201d), and Abby Jimenez (\u201cJust for the Summer\u201d) on our longlist of notable new releases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Those of a more speculative disposition are in for a treat when \u201cThe Practice, the Horizon, and the Chain\u201d by Sofia Samatar comes out on April 16. If David Weber\u2019s new Honorverse novel \u201cToll of Honor\u201d hasn\u2019t taken up all your time, SA Barne\u2019s sophomore novel \u201cGhost Station\u201d is worth checking out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    But if you\u2019re looking to fall deeper in a series as dark as Netflix\u2019s new hit series \u201c3 Body Problem<\/a>\u201d look no further than \u201cA View from the Stars\u201d by Cixin Liu. The author of the books that the streaming sensation is based on is back with a collection of short stories from Tor Books.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Streaming <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      We all like a good show to binge, one that offers plenty of drama and action to keep us busy upstairs. Amazon Prime\u2019s \u201cFallout\u201d checks the right boxes and is certainly worth your time. Based on the hit game franchise of the same name, it has just the right combination of narrative, fun, and drama that gamers have enjoyed since 1997. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      If that wasn\u2019t enough, Netflix has an ace of their own in \u201cRipley<\/a>\u201d while HBO, always eager to serve us drama junkies, is throwing \u201cThe Sympathizer\u201d into the ring. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Movies<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Forget \u201cGodzilla x King Kong.\u201dA24\u2019s \u201cCivil War\u201d is the movie you don\u2019t want to miss this month. Some might say it hits too close to home, but others, like the many reviewers giving two-thumbs up, will call it the warning America needs right now. For something more action-packed \u201cBoy Kills World\u201d promises to deliver more blood than most can handle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        4. Games<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Gamers are also spoilt for choice this month. \u201cSand Land,\u201d based on the late Akira Toriyama\u2019s last major work, is out and full of the art style so many of us fell in love with in Dragon Ball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The PS5 exclusive \u201cStellar Blade\u201d is already making waves ahead of its April 26 release. Last but certainly not least, lovers of \u201cFallout\u201d\u2019s brand of dystopia are being given plenty of reasons to return to the Wasteland when \u201cFallout 4\u201d\u2019s long-awaited and free next-gen upgrade comes out on April 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
