The pieces convey the acceptance and perseverance that come with change in a relatable sense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The exhibit is full of vibrant colors and unique, mixed media pieces, such as speed bags made from old paintings. This piece is called \u201cTough Skin\u201d and can be found on the far-right side of the exhibit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Visitors to the exhibit have described it as \u201cbrilliant\u201d \u201cvibrant\u201d and \u201cvery moving\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Right across the hall is \u201cStreet Story Montages\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZlQnRbCgNvM?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><figcaption>Video credit: LeAnne McPherson on YouTube<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The purpose of this gallery is to show complex, historically layered and ever-changing American character using montaged digitally stitched panoramas and photographs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m searching for the ways we connect to place and interact with each other, while navigating the conundrum of coexistence, that exemplify the American experience,\u201d said Marc in his artist statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Related article: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sinclairclarion.com\/home\/tartan-news\/2022\/07\/15\/come-see-the-new-additions-to-sinclairs-student-purchase-award-artwork-gallery\/\">Come See the New Additions to Sinclair\u2019s Student Purchase Award Artwork Gallery<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the displayed photographs, Marc is capturing the way every American navigates through life with the help of the community. He does this by taking photographs of people connecting through political rallies, BMX rides, car shows and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the display, there is a QR code that gives a brief description of the events in each photo to enhance the experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGood Soil\u201d and \u201cStreet Story Montage\u201d will be held on the 4th floor of Building 13 (located at West Fifth and Perry Streets) until Jan. 24.
