One tradition for those who celebrate Christmas is the hanging of lights. Whether they set up an elaborate, award-winning display or just admire the works of others, people of all ages participate in this decorative delight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ohio.org<\/a> recently released a map<\/a> of a \u201cHoliday Lights Trail\u201d that involves all regions of the state. Locations are numbered and marked on the map along with their names. There are a total of 55 stops, with 13 stops here in southwest Ohio! Find out about some of them below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. The Legendary Lights of Historic Clifton Mill<\/a> in Clifton, OH \u2013 This spot has repeatedly nominated for USA TODAY awards and features more than 4 million lights! According to their website, Clifton Mill has a \u201c100 foot \u2018waterfall\u2019 of twinkling lights.\u201d Visitors can see the display seven days a week through Dec. 30 from 6-9 p.m., and on Dec. 24 and 25 from 6-8 p.m.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. A Carillon Christmas<\/a> at Carillon Park in Dayton, OH \u2013 Perhaps the most magical part of this location is the \u201cCarillon Tree of Light.\u201d In addition to the 200-foot-tall<\/a> spectacle, Carillon Park also has many exhibits and activities such as \u201cLetters to Santa.\u201d Except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, the event runs until Dec. 30. The park\u2019s hours are 5-9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. WinterFest<\/a> at Kings Island in Mason, OH \u2013 The amusement park is a bundle of fun this time of year. While most rides have been closed for the season, there is still so much to eat, see, and enjoy, including live shows and opportunities for crafts. There\u2019s fun for the whole family! The park is open on select nights through December with varying hours. The WinterFest map can be found on the Kings Island website.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        1. Fort St. Clair\u2019s Whispering Christmas<\/a> in Eaton, OH \u2013 If patrons want to stay toasty warm while still enjoying some lights, Fort St. Clair is a wonderful option! Whispering Christmas 2022 will feature a drive-through display made possible by many community members. Though it is free to see, donations are encouraged. The hours of operation are 6:30-9 p.m. every day in December.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          1. Holiday Lights at Lost Creek Reserve<\/a> in Troy, OH \u2013 Lost Creek Reserve has prepared 1.25 miles worth of lights and holiday cheer! This stop is also car friendly and is open weekends through Dec. 23. Visit between 6 and 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, between 6 and 9 p.m. on Sundays, and from 6-9 p.m. Dec. 19-22. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
