Sinclair Talks is turning to the world of financial aid on Oct. 18 in as it continues to explore a
variety of important higher education topics. The interactive session Avoid Scholarship Scams &
Maximize Tools to Find Money for College<\/a>! promises to look at a full spectrum of aid available
to students so they can make the most of the funding opportunities out there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The session is scheduled to take place from 11:00-11:30 a.m. Participants can head to either the
Building 8 Stage area or Zoom. In addition to an in-depth look at scholarship search tools, the
session will also help teach students how to maximize their financial aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students have a wide range of scholarships available at Sinclair, with dedicated programs for
practically every type of student. Financial aid is available for high school graduates, new
students, and those returning to the classroom. In addition to high school merit scholarships,
Sinclair also participants in the Choose Ohio First program and its own College Credit Plus Free
to Finish Scholarship. Other institutional scholarships include the Taylor Scholars Program<\/a>, the
Connection Grant, and those provided by the Sinclair Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Support for students searching for external scholarship opportunities is also provided by the
college. Sinclair\u2019s extensive external resources page lists dozens of organizations and the
thousands of dollars worth of financial support on offer. The wide range of aid on offer span a
plethora of degree programs and student categories. They include the Golden Door Scholars
Program <\/a>for DACA and TPS Students, Bobby Mendez Traumatic Brain Injury Scholarship, and
the Dream Award Scholarship for Full-Time Second Year Students among many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
