Thanksgiving is near and I couldn\u2019t be happier.<\/p>\n
Every year, I look forward to the holiday season. I love spending time with my family with football on the television and a massive assortment of food at our disposal.<\/p>\n
Maybe it\u2019s just my family, but I feel we don\u2019t get together very often. Outside of Thanksgiving and Christmas, my family might have two gatherings a year.<\/p>\n
Thanksgiving is known as a day to give thanks to everything in your life. I would like to start giving my thanks a bit early this year.<\/p>\n
Instructors<\/strong><\/p>\n Meagan Ewton, the Clarion\u2019s<\/em> online editor, wrote a wonderful piece in the Nov. 3 edition about thanking your class instructors. After reading the column, I can\u2019t help but give thanks to all of my current and previous instructors that have helped me get to where I am today.<\/p>\n Thank you.<\/p>\n the Clarion<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I\u2019ve been blessed with a wonderful staff this quarter. Every one has worked hard and helped the Clarion strive to reach a higher standard. I\u2019m so proud of everything we have achieved this quarter and I look forward to continually raising the bar before the academic year ends.<\/p>\n Having a job(s)<\/strong><\/p>\n I\u2019ve been a busy guy this quarter, but I\u2019m very thankful for it.<\/p>\n I take three classes on campus and I have three part-time jobs. Working multiple jobs has its disadvantages: mixing separate schedules and little time to sleep, relax, study and hangout.<\/p>\n I can\u2019t complain too much, though. I know it\u2019s a rough time for some families right now. It is hard not to think of families in need with the unemployment rate at 10.2 percent, as of October.<\/p>\n Sinclair Community College<\/strong><\/p>\n I have explained my Sinclair story before.<\/p>\n Compared to the day I arrived at Sinclair, I feel like I\u2019ve made a complete 180-degree turn. I have grown from the student who sleeps in class to one that studies and turns in work on time. It might not sound like much, but it was a big change for me.<\/p>\n I can\u2019t help but thank Sinclair for setting me on a positive path toward my ultimate goal.<\/p>\n Give thanks<\/strong><\/p>\n Do not be shy when it comes to giving thanks to people or places you care about. Unfortunately, Thanksgiving comes only once a year.
