The Sinclair Pride men\u2019s basketball team defeated Cedarville University\u2019s JV team, 86-52, to open their season on Tuesday, Nov. 3.<\/p>\n
Sophomore forward British Alexander led the Pride with 13 points and sophomore guard Kevin Vest led the team with 7 assists. In total, the Pride had five players score in double figures and received 45 points from their bench.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt wasn\u2019t a one man show,\u201d said Head Coach Jeff Price. \u201cThis was a team win.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Pride\u2019s defense collected 17 steals and 37 deflections, according to Price. Price said he was particularly impressed by the team\u2019s low turnover total.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thought we protected the ball very well. We only had seven turnovers,\u201d Price said. \u201cIn my time here, I can\u2019t remember a time when we\u2019ve only had seven turnovers, especially with the way we push the ball up the floor.\u201d<\/p>\n
