Catching it early is extremely important when it comes to treatment. Breast cancer affects around 1 in 8 women and 1 in 833 men in the United States according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/cancer.org\/cancer\/breast-cancer\/about\/how-common-is-breast-cancer.html\">American Cancer Society<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Surprisingly, around 85% of cases of breast cancer come from someone with no family history of breast cancer according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breastcancer.org\/symptoms\/understand_bc\/statistics\">breastcancer.org.<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/cancer.osu.edu\/for-patients-and-caregivers\/learn-about-cancers-and-treatments\/cancers-conditions-and-treatment\/cancer-types\/breast-cancer\/mammogram?msclkid=0ba28a756eb51a46a1d4eb3f6fb6762c&amp;utm_source=bing&amp;utm_medium=cpc&amp;utm_campaign=Adept%20-%20Bing%20-%20James%20-%20Mammogram&amp;utm_term=mammogram&amp;utm_content=Breast%20-%20Mammogram#Mammolocations\">The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center<\/a> states that any woman over 40 years of age should have a yearly mammogram done. Women with a family history of breast cancer should begin having them before 40. This should occur 10 years before the age the family member was diagnosed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are female-bodied, do not forget to do monthly shower checks. This is done by feeling around the armpit, breast tissue, and the collarbone area with the pads of your fingers. If a person feels a lump, contacting their gynecologist and making an appointment is the best solution; it is always better to be safe than sorry.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you need a mammogram, the Mobile Mammogram is coming to Sinclair\u2019s Dayton Campus. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.premierhealth.com\/services\/diagnostics-and-imaging\/medical-imaging\/breast-imaging\/mammography\/mobile-mammography\">The Mobile Mammography<\/a> is brought to Sinclair from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.premierhealth.com\/locations\/hospitals\/atrium-medical-center\">Premier Health Atrium Medical Center<\/a> and will be in Lot L on the Dayton Campus Tuesday, Oct. 2.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To schedule an appointment, call (855)887-7364.
