COVID-19 has put almost everything on pause this past year and a half. This semester, we are happy to announce that Sinclair\u2019s Theatre Department is continuing to have in-person performances.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They will be putting on two shows this semester; these include \u201cShe Kills Monsters\u201d and an annual holiday show, \u201cA Charlie Brown Christmas <\/em>Special.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n “She Kills Monsters,” written by Qui Nguyen and directed by Chris Harmon, is a comedy that takes the audience into a world of fantasy role-playing games. The story tells of a girl who leaves her home in Ohio after the death of her sister. After discovering her sister\u2019s Dungeon and Dragons notebook, she is transferred to a place full of adventure and action. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Audiences can catch this performance in Blair Hall Theatre located in Building 2 on Oct. 8 through the 16. Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for students and seniors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The \u201cCharlie Brown Christmas Special\u201d in December is turning into an annual tradition; this is the seventh time Sinclair is putting on this show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt is an exciting time, COVID is still around but we are doing everything in our power to keep the opportunity for our students and patrons strong,\u201d said Patti Celek, the Theatre Departments Marketing Manager. \u201cPerforming or being involved in a show is a very integral part of our student education.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sinclair has not only one but two theatres on campus. The main one is Blair Hall Theatre. There is also the Black Box Theatre which Celek says provides more of an \u201cintimate\u201d show. Both shows this semester will be held at Blair Hall which has more seating and can allow for social distancing.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
