NBC\u2019s new streaming service Peacock became available on July 15, 2020<\/a>. Most people will likely be familiar with the service because of the popular sitcom \u201cThe Office,\u201d which left Netflix and moved to Peacock. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from \u201cThe Office,\u201d Peacock provides many other shows for subscribers<\/a>. Comedies such as \u201cKing of Queens,\u201d \u201cParks and Recreation\u201d and \u201cEverybody Loves Raymond\u201d are available. Dramas such as \u201cThis Is Us\u201d and \u201cSuits\u201d are found on the service as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The streaming service also offers old classics such as \u201cLittle House on the Prairie\u201d and \u201cLeave It to Beaver.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

TV shows are not the only thing offered. The service also has a number of movies available. A couple of popular hits include \u201cJurassic Park\u201d and \u201cThe Bourne Identity.\u201d The \u201cHarry Potter\u201d movies are set to be added later in 2021. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was also just announced that NBC Sports Network, which includes NASCAR, will be shutting down at the end of 2021<\/a>. While some of the content will be going to USA Network, the other selections will be on Peacock in 2022.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Peacock has a free version of its service. This basic version has 7,500 hours of shows and films to choose from, but commercials are included. It includes the first two seasons of \u201cThe Office\u201d as well as \u201cThe Office Zen 24\/7 Channel,\u201d which is literally available 24\/7. This channel will continuously play random episodes of the show<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next step up is Peacock premium, which costs $4.99 per month or $49.99 a year. It has over 15,000 hours worth of content<\/a> for viewers to watch. This subscription includes all nine seasons of \u201cThe Office\u201d as well as deleted scenes from the show. They can also watch current shows on NBC the day after they air. Peacock will have its own original series that will be available under this subscription. This option still has commercials, however. The company offers a seven-day free trial for Peacock premium. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To avoid commercials almost entirely, viewers can subscribe to Peacock premium plus. The service\u2019s website states that a small number of ads will still be shown<\/a> during certain selections due to streaming rights. This subscription costs $9.99 a month or $99.99 annually. Like Peacock premium, the entire library selection is available. Those who subscribe to this option will also be able to view some movies or shows offline on their mobile devices. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those who are Xfinity Flex members<\/a> can get Peacock Premium for free. All members have to do is create a Peacock account and then link their Xfinity account to begin watching. Spectrums subscribers can also receive an extended free trial<\/a>, but it has not been stated how long this trial will last.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
