\tWinter Wonderland is a cherished tradition at Sinclair and one that remarkably predates the current Dayton campus. Each year, the Campus Activities Board works diligently to ensure that Winter Wonderland takes on new and more exciting forms. In previous years, Winter Wonderland boasted raffles and prizes, cotton candy and\u2014extraordinarily\u2014 a wind tunnel where students endeavored to achieve golden tickets so that they may purchase goods from the cafeteria. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\tThis year\u2019s Winter Wonderland was truly special indeed as students were treated to an assortment of food and entertainment, such as The Vault\u2014an exhilarating game that challenges one\u2019s hand and eye coordination. Another activity was the Whip N Skip Carnival game, in which, a puck is sent sliding across a ramp where one gains points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The challenge lies in how to exert the puck\u2014push softly, the puck shall not make it across the ramp. Conversely, push too hard and the puck will miss the targets completely. Can you make it into all three targets? Students also had the opportunity to have their caricature drawn by members of the Sinclair art club and tested their skills on a mechanical surfboard. Some even witnessed the awe-inspiring caliber of Chef Adam Lang in an ice sculpting show! A very merry member of the Sinclair community, Adam Lang is a professor in the hospitality department. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\tSuch a celebrated event like Winter Wonderland has always succeeded in bringing the community closer, thus inspiring a sense of \u201ctogetherness\u201d. In 2017, Winter Wonderland occurred on Valentine\u2019s Day and featured an array of activities, such as games, exciting trivia, lip sync and even a photo booth sponsored by The Clarion. But, above all, the event highlighted random acts of kindness with valentine\u2019s day cookies and roses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through the sheer dedication and passion of organizers, last year\u2019s Winter Wonderland attracted more than one hundred people. For years to come, we hope to see many more wonderful people.\u00a0 As Chaput elaborates, \u201cIt\u2019s a great way to meet other students, faculty and staff.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
