This is a dangerous situation, OK? Think about if this was your neighborhood. I\u2019m sick and tired of people complaining about this. Our job here is to keep people safe and that is what we\u2019re going to do. Some of you complain this is all about my ego. Stop. Just stop right now. It\u2019s not. I\u2019m done with you people, I really am. (patvell69 \/ YouTube)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shortly after, he apologized and explained how it bothered him that people didn\u2019t show any care or concern for other people\u2019s safety. And personally, I agree with him. I think it\u2019s an entirely different story if one is disregarding the true danger that these people were facing. Meanwhile, \u201cBachelorette\u201d fans were scrolling through their phones looking for ways to bash the man who was trying to help keep these people safe, which is disturbing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Like me, there were many who were supportive of Simpson. Many meteorologists came to his defense, one saying \u201cThat is what we\u2019re supposed to do, it\u2019s TV vs. real life.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although I couldn\u2019t find a direct source, I heard from a few different people that T-shirts with Jamie Simpson on it accompanied by his words \u201cI\u2019m Done with You People\u201d were being sold, with the proceeds going to tornado relief efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter aligncenter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">God love Jamie Simpson.
