After their last film lost the first ever best-animated picture award to Dreamwork\u2019s \u201cShrek,\u201d (yes, really<\/a>) Pixar returned in force with their award-winning fish flick, \u201cFinding Nemo.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Directed by Andrew Stanton<\/a>, \u201cFinding Nemo\u201d<\/a> is Pixar\u2019s fifth animated film and was the first of many Pixar movies to win an Oscar for best-animated picture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon initial release, critics and casual moviegoers fell in love with this movie. Famed film critic, Roger Ebert, gave the film four stars<\/a>, and it scored an impressive 99 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, does it truly live up to the praise of its fans? Well let\u2019s put on our metaphorical scuba masks and take a look. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marlin<\/a> (Albert Brooks) is a Clownfish who lost his wife and all but one of his children to a vicious undersea predator. Because of this traumatic tragedy, he is understandably overprotective of his only surviving son Nemo<\/a> (Alexander Gould). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marlin promises never to let anything happen to his boy, but on Nemo\u2019s first day of school, he is seized by Australian Divers and taken to a dentist\u2019s office in Sydney (P. Sherman 42 wallaby way Sydney to be exact). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
