<\/p>\n
I believe everyone has a passion in life.\u00a0 <\/span>Everyone has something they were born to do.\u00a0 <\/span>Socrates was born to be a philosopher.\u00a0 <\/span>Martin Luther King Jr. was born to shine light on prejudice.\u00a0 <\/span>My mother was born to simultaneously embarrass and inspire her children.<\/p>\n I like to think that I was born to tell stories.\u00a0 <\/span>I don\u2019t mean that to say that I\u2019m creative or inspiring, but rather I share what I hear, see and know with others.\u00a0 <\/span>Most of the stories I like to tell are not my<\/em> stories at all.<\/p>\n Take my mother for example.\u00a0 <\/span>She is the craziest person I know.\u00a0 <\/span>She dances in the car and sings in the grocery store.\u00a0 <\/span>She raised my siblings and I to be outspoken, independent thinkers, though she sometimes wonders why we arrive at different conclusions than she does.<\/p>\n My husband is a great storyteller.\u00a0 <\/span>I have yet to see him speak without invigorating his listeners.\u00a0 <\/span>Whatever he\u2019s excited about, they get excited about.\u00a0 <\/span>His passion for life both invades the minds of the East Dayton teenagers he works with and inspires others to invest in the inner city.<\/p>\n These people have helped instill passion in my life.\u00a0 <\/span>A passion to read.\u00a0 <\/span>A passion to write.\u00a0 <\/span>A passion to share.\u00a0 <\/span>My passion, my desire, is to share each story I learn so that others can discover passion for themselves.<\/p>\n For if you live without passion, who\u2019s to say you really live at all?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I believe everyone has a passion in life.\u00a0 Everyone has something they were born to do.\u00a0 Socrates was born to be a philosopher.\u00a0 Martin Luther King Jr. was born to shine light on prejudice.\u00a0 My mother was born to simultaneously embarrass and inspire her children.
