\u00a0 \u00a0With \u201cCrash Bandicoot: N.Sane Trilogy\u201d being a huge success, gamers want more of the older games remastered so they can relive playing their favorite childhood games. Now we\u2019re getting another dose of gaming nostalgia with \u201cSpyro Reignited Trilogy\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0Speculation started stirring after the success of \u201cCrash Bandicoot: N.Sane Trilogy\u201d. A series of hints and teases followed with the main Twitter account for Spyro tweeting, \u201cGood Times\u201d to Crash Bandicoot\u2019s twitter account with a picture of a Crash costume in what appears to be purple lighting. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0Then IGN received a purple scaly egg in the mail with a letter reading \u201cSomething\u2019s about to hatch\u201d sent by Falcon McBob, who runs the twitter account for Spyro. After that, it\u2019s been announced that Spyro was making his return.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0There were 3 Spyro games released for the original PlayStation: \u201cSpyro the Dragon\u201d, \u201cSpyro 2: Ripto\u2019s rage\u201d and \u201cSpyro: Year of the Dragon\u201d between 1998 and 2000. They were developed by \u201cInsomniac Games\u201d, the same people responsible for the “Ratchet and Clank” series. They’re also developing the new Spider-Man game coming out for the PS4 later this year.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Spyro\u00a0 \u00a0What set Spyro apart from other platformers at the time was the unique gameplay mechanics of the time. You don\u2019t just jump from platform to platform, you can breathe fire, glide, roll around and charge at enemies horns first. This was what put \u201cInsomniac games\u201d on the map and made Spyro a household name.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0In recent times, Spyro has been with \u201cSkylanders\u201d, the toys-to-life game created by \u201cToys for Bob\u201d. Now, they will be developing the \u201cReignited Trilogy\u201d which will include the three original Spyro games. They plan on improving graphics, controls, gameplay mechanics and sound effects. Everything else will be the same as the original in terms of story and characters. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0They also plan on getting as much of the original cast as possible in re-recording the voice acting. One of the original voice actors for Spyro, Tom Kenny, will be voice acting Spyro once again for all three remastered games.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0\u201cSpyro Reignited Trilogy\u201d will be available for PS4 and Xbox One, but it\u2019s still unknown if it will be available on PC and Nintendo Switch or not. It is set to come out on September 21 but is available for pre-order costing $39.99. <\/span><\/p>\n
